North Carolina becomes the first team since Kentucky in 1996 to score 100 points in a game twice in one tournament.  They are the first team since Loyola Marymount in 1990 to score 100 points in the first two rounds.

North Carolina is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 27th time and the 2nd straight year.

Roy Williams is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 12th time and his 3rd with North Carolina.

North Carolina is now 2-2 vs. Arkansas in the tournament.

North Carolina is now 23-1 when playing in the state of North Carolina.

North Carolina is now 20-0 when scoring at least 90 points.

This is the second year that the ACC has only one team in the Sweet Sixteen.  From 1980 - 2006, they had at least two schools in the Sweet Sixteen every year.

Arkansas is now 6-2 when playing in the state of North Carolina.  Their other loss was also to Roy Williams in 1991 when he was coaching Kansas.

The 108 points scored by North Carolina is the most that Arkansas has allowed in 69 tournament games.  Their previous high allowed was vs. Loyola Marymount in the 1989 first round.

Louisville is now 1-1 vs. Oklahoma in the tournament.

Louisville is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 23rd time and their first since 2005.

Rick Pitino is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 8th time and his 2nd with Louisville.

The 48 points scored by Oklahoma is the fewest Louisville has allowed in 91 tournament games.  Their previous low allowed was vs. Georgetown in the 1982 National Semifinals.

The 30 point margin of victory ties the largest for Louisville in tournament history.  They also defeated Kansas State by 30 in the 1968 Regional Third Place game.

The 30 point margin of defeat was the biggest defeat by Oklahoma in their history.  The previous largest defeat was by 21 against Indiana State in the 1979 Sweet Sixteen.

Oklahoma is now 3-1 when playing in state of Alabama.

Tennessee is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 5th time and for the 2nd straight year.  This is the first time in Tennessee history that they have been in the Sweet Sixteen two straight years.  Tennessee has never won a Sweet Sixteen game.

Bruce Pearl is in his 3rd Sweet Sixteen and 2nd with Tennesseee.

Tennessee is now 4-0 when playing in the state of Alabama.

Tennessee is now 2-2 in overtime games.

Half of Butler's 8 all time tournament losses are against SEC teams.  They are 1-4 vs. the SEC and 7-4 vs. all other conferences.

Butler is now 3-1 when playing in the state of Alabama.

Villanova is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 15th time and for the 3rd time in 4 years.

Jay Wright is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 3rd time - all with Villanova.

Siena is 0-4 in the NCAA Tournament when allowing 80 or more points.  They are 3-0 when allowing less than 80.

Davidson is the first Southern Conference team in the Sweet Sixteen since Chattanooga in 1997.

Davidson is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 4th time and their first since 1969.

Bob McKillop is in the Sweet Sixteen for the first time.

Georgetown is now 3-1 when playing in the state of North Carolina.

Memphis is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 10th time and the 3rd straight year.

John Calipari is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 6th time and the 3rd time with Memphis.

Texas is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 10th time and their 5th in 7 years.

Rick Barnes is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 6th time and his 5th with Texas.

Western Kentucky is in the Sweet Sixteen for the 7th time and their first since 1993.

Western Kentucky's 1993 Sweet Sixteen appearance was also the last for the Sun Belt Conference.

Darrin Horn is in the Sweet Sixteen for the first time.

Western Kentucky is now 4-0 when playing in the state of Florida.
